Hi! I’m Eileen Roche.

I’ve always been drawn to telling stories through images. After taking every photography class offered at UC Davis, I spent time working for a brand strategy firm in the bustling marketing field of San Francisco. I loved working on creative products, but the adventure in me wanted to be behind the lens, not the desk. So, I sold everything I owned, traveled South America for months, and returned to the states to attend the International Center of Photography in New York. 

I‘m just as comfortable featuring the organic curves of a midcentury modern interior as I am shooting amidst the vast Redwoods. It’s my knowledge of brand strategy, blended with years in photography, that creates natural imagery that tells a story and captures the essence of a place. The thrill of the unexpected and my inherent flexibility are what continue to draw me to shooting on-site. There’s nothing quite like searching for that perfect shot, ready to adjust to the changing weather, lighting, or location at any moment. 

In my spare time, you can find me scouting new locals for Hipcamp, shooting unconventional couples for my wedding photography business, or at home learning about composting and urban gardening. I love partnering with brands who are actively working to care for the planet I'm so inspired by, and can’t wait to tell your brand’s story.
